“test”, not “text”I’m trying to get a better idea of the user experience before the date of the actual event and I want to test many of the elements in advance so that the team is adequately prepared. Can I create a bunch of missions and do a “dress-rehearsal” with the team prior to the main event? Alternately, can I go “live” with a very limited number of people for testing, pause the experience, then resume for the real event later?
Hi everyone! We are hosting a ticketed fundraising road rally in October and are new to GC. The organization we are raising funds for will be accepting all payments received, through their website, for registration as well as accepting donations prior, during, and after the event. Is there anyone who can offer any suggestions on this topic? Thanks in advance. Mary Beth and Dave
Hi,I’m wondering if it is possible to duplicate missions within an experiene. I know you can duplicate entire experiences and pull missions from previous experiences. But I want to create several versions of missions that are different in only a few ways so want to duplicate within a mission to save a lot of time. The only other way I’ve seen to do this is to cut and paste and create new each time which take a whole lot of work. Is there a way around this?
I have an Experience with over 100 missions. The experience has a running time of 15-30 days. The experience starts with 10 active missions. As days go by, my script changes missions from hidden to active. By the end of the experience, all missions are active. When the experience is over, I copy the experience and set the start and end time for the next class session. My problem: When I do this, all of my missions begin the experience as ACTIVE. Therefore, I have to go into every mission and set it to hidden. This takes an excessively long time. How can I begin my experience with all missions being hidden? There has GOT to be a better way.Help? 🤞
Hi, I am new to using Goosechase and interested in using it for a company-wide event for about 130 employees. It’s our annual company meeting and the only time everyone gets together in person each year, so we want to facilitate mingling and bonding with others outside their team. Has anyone used Goosechase for team building? Any tips that would make it a successful event? Thanks!
Once you get the hang of things, there are lots of little things you can tinker with in the Experience Manager to fit exactly what you are looking to do. Here are a few articles I would suggest taking a look at if you are looking to level up! How to change the order of my Missions? - This may seem like a simple how-to article but in actuality, it is filled with examples that will guide you on the best way to sort your Missions. Do you want your participants to strategize by points? Are you looking for a way to group Missions? Do you want to space out your participants so that they do not flock (pun intended) to one location? The answers are here! What are automations? - Automations are one of those features that seem daunting, but they are actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it! One of our favourite uses for automations is to create flash Missions that release for a short period of time and then expire. These are great to drive your participants into your Experience (if you
I'm currently looking if Goosechase will fit my intended purpose. I'd like to make a city tour in a certain order. I can't find an option to unhide GPS missions based on earlier completed missions. Is this not possible? For my purpose I need a mix of (hidden) GPS missions and open choosable other missions.
Hello All, wanted to create a community scavenger hunt that would encourage people to go around the town and do various challenges. This would require check-ins, text answers, and photo answers. My question is how does Goosechase distinguish if the photo is of the correct image before it gives points? Thank you, John
Hard to believe that it’s now been two weeks since The Nest launched. Each day we’re seeing new members trickle in, and within a few days we’ll cross our first major milestone — 100 Members! As we grow, I’m curious to get a better understanding from this group… What does community mean to you? What does THIS community mean to you?
I am creating missions to be used in university courses and would like to include fun, goose-related terms and phrases. Is there an inspirational list I could use when crafting my experience and mission descriptions? Does anyone have some phrases they have used that are fun and clever that they would like to share with me? Puns?
I have an event on horizon and would like to merge Goosechase and Art. The obvious connection would be to find pieces of art in the area and have missions centered on those pieces or have a self guided tour of a museum. I am looking for some other creative ideas…. maybe photography based, art element based, other?I would love to hear what the flock has to say! Any ideas or inspiration you may have for me is very welcome!
I think that it would be great to receive, rather than just email that there is a new post, some sort of highlight on the main page that new conversations/comments are awaiting me so that I can click there and get to the conversations.I often feel a little overwhelmed because I am looking for that last place a comment was made. Anyone else have that issue?
Of course, your participants are always welcome to contact us at email@example.com or through the app if they need any help at all, but sometimes, things are happening on the fly, and you have now become Goosechase support for all of your participants - I’m sweating for you! 😅Let me take a bit of the pressure off by sharing with you a few FAQ articles that you can use for those common participant questions:Where do I enter my join code?Short Answer: “In the app!”, but in all seriousness, we recommend having our printable instructions on hand for those that need a little extra help! Learning a new platform can be difficult, but often times Creators all have similar questions when starting out. If you have a question, likely someone else has had it too!In fact, we can almost guarantee it. This past year we tried to think of every general question our Creators would ask so we could build out the most robust FAQ page that we could imagine. Generally, you can find almost everything you need in the FAQ articles to create an amazing Experience - but for some of the more specific questions, The Nest is a great place to ask your fellow Creators! To get you started, this is my breakdown of the top 5 FAQ articles used by Creators: How do I create a new Experience to edit? How can I invite another Creator to co-manage my Experience? Do you have pre-made instructions that I can use for my Experience? Can I participate in a Goosechase Experience on a Chromebook? How do participants join my Experience?Bonus: The getting started walkthroughSurprise helpful honk: Our FAQ is organi
I have used GooseChase for several library programs, and each time I had grownups agree to what is, essentially, a media release, but I’m curious if anyone has developed another method of protecting the privacy of minors or getting parental approval for using images.
