Meet the Community: Introduce Yourself

Hi Creators 👋🏻

We are so excited to be here with you and to have the opportunity to launch this space for all Goosechase creators to connect, learn and inspire one another. I’ve got Goosebumps!

If a few goosey puns haven’t turned you off yet (you can tell this community is *down-*right full of those) we’d love it if you would introduce yourself here in this thread. Feel free to share:

  • 🏢  Where you work
  • 🏠  Where you live
  • 💼  Your role
  • 📲  How you use Goosechase, and
  • 💯  How many Goosechase experiences you’ve run

But of course feel free to add any other interesting information about yourself (hobbies, interests, fave movie/band etc) or even a fun picture of you being a Silly Goose! This is the best way for us to get to know one another and feel more comfortable sharing ideas.

Hello! My name is Maria and I’m excited to be a part of the gaggle here.

  • 🏢  I cofounded Send it Social, a social media agency helping museums engage and grow their audiences on social media.
  • 🏠  I’ve been in Southern California for the last 3 years and soaking up all the sun I can!
  • 💼  My work involves crafting social media strategies as well as creating social media content (I love short-form video!).
  • 📲  I wish I had known about Goosechase a few years back when designing a scavenger hunt for the science center I worked at. We were promoting a new film in the IMAX, “Wings Over Water”, about the migration of some of North America’s bird species, and had hidden cutouts of different local birds around our exhibits for our guests to find.
  • 💯  None yet, but I love Jax-in-the-box’s idea, above, of using it for family activities, and thinking it would be fun to create one for when family comes to visit me!

Hi, I’m Angela Cooper. I’ve been a high school English teacher for 25 years, but I recently made the move to higher ed as a TRIO learning specialist for Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. Having learned about Goosechase at a conference earlier this week, I haven’t completed any missions or hunts, but I’m excited to reinvigorate our TRIO program with the app’s gamification offerings.

Hi Angela, I’ve been an elementary teacher/stem teacher for the last 10 of my 30 years. I was introduced to chase maybe 10 years ago and it’s been an integral part of my teaching. The wide variety of options you can use to incorporate into a “mission“ is amazing.

I suggest for you to start with maybe one of the canned games that are on GooseChase‘s website. However, the real fun comes when you can start creating missions that pertain directly to your content, skills desired, endgame outcomes.

missions can be as simple as, take a picture of something red, to showing picture or video something that represents forgiveness. they’re excited for you to start this journey and please feel free to reach out to me if you want any suggestions or help creating a game/experience that fits here situation.
