We were trying to think of a way to provide some onboarding/training for our new state officers for Educators Rising. I had the idea to use Goosechase to “gamify” the training and provide the training as “missions” to complete. The modules contained items such as questions relating to leadership and membership constitution documents and included questions to anticipate hypothetical situations encountered as officers. The students liked a refreshing and mobile “game” that allowed them to be interactive in their learning and responses!
Sounds like fun! I have used Goosechase for administrators, teachers, and preservice teachers to gamify learning - great role modeling for leaders of any age!
We used Goosechase for our ½ day before for Thanksgiving. The contest was organized by keystone groups (small homerooms). It was a HUGE hit. We are going to use it the same way for Superintendent conference days!
Here is a link to a game that I have used and modified for PD: https://gsch.se/game/c0657d1ba1b942c3bbf44af00f838595/copy/
I also hosted a district wide game (700+) teachers and administrators for our back to school professional development. It was super fun and teachers loved it!: https://gsch.se/game/a61cd0eb861d4811ad6699f548ef23e5/copy/
