What is reputation?

When creating my profile I had the option to display my reputation or not, but I don’t know what that means or how it would affect me.

@RetChaser I understand, here is what I pulled as the explanation for ‘Reputation’ from the inSided platforms very own community (this nest community is built on the inSided community platform).

 

“… reputation is purely based on likes. How many likes (for the bar to be filled) can differ per community...”

It is “... a way to see how much experience a user has on the community, or how "trustworthy" the information of a user is.”
